The Parenting Roadmap Most Families Are Missing

The whole Map in one place: what your kids need from you, in the order they need it, and where your family is right now. Grab the worksheet first. You'll score your family as you watch.

Most useful for parents of kids about 2 to 12. The Map applies at any age.

Step 1

Get your worksheet

As you watch, you'll score your family in six areas. The worksheet keeps it all in one place.

Parenting with someone? Each of you fill in your own, together or apart, then compare your maps.

The six areas you'll score

Three realms of parenting, in the order that works, and three conditions that need to be in place for any of it to work.

The three realms

What happens between you and your kids

  • 1. ConnectThe kind of relationship that makes kids want to follow your lead.
  • 2. RegulateDaily rhythms, routines, and limits that help kids settle.
  • 3. GuideHandling hard moments in a way that teaches kids what to do next time.

The three conditions

What it asks of you, not your kids

  • Alpha ParentsBeing clearly in charge, in a warm way.
  • Calm ParentsStaying steady when things get hard.
  • Aligned ParentsBeing on the same page with your partner or co-parent, whether you live together or not.

What parents say

“Todd's simple and effective approach has shaped my parenting since my son's first year. He is now 18 and I wouldn't change a thing. In a screen-saturated world, staying truly present with our children is both the greatest challenge and the greatest necessity. This book captures the clarity, kindness, and practicality that make Todd's approach so powerful. The tools are accessible and immediately useful.”
Deanna H. · Mother of 1, San Francisco, CA
“We've been lucky enough to work with Todd as our family psychotherapist in the past (he's kind of a rock star around here). When we found out he wrote a book tackling one of our biggest pain points - screentime! - we were so excited to check it out. Two of our three kids are ADHD and addicted to screens. We've tried our best to limit since early childhood, but the battle rages on. This book hit the nail on the head for us, striking a rare balance between being deeply insightful and incredibly practical. There are real strategies here that we can already see a difference with. Highly recommend for any mom or dad wanting to build more connection, patience, and understanding into everyday family life.”

Would you like our help directly?

Each month we work with only a handful of families. We keep it small on purpose, so each family gets real attention, and we only take on families we're confident we can help.

Once you've watched the Roadmap and scored your family, send us the word COHORT. We'll email you a document with all the details: what working together looks like, the time it takes, and the tuition. That way you can make an informed decision. We don't do sales calls. If the timing is right for you, and we believe it's a good fit, we'll welcome you into the process.

Questions parents ask

Do I need to watch it all at once?

No. It's 49 minutes, and many parents watch it in two or three sittings. Your worksheet keeps your place.

Do I have to finish the video before sending COHORT?

No. You're welcome to ask at any point. The video helps you see where your family is, which makes the details more useful.

What ages is this for?

The Map applies to kids of all ages. Most of the families we work with have children between 2 and 12, and some also have older kids. If yours are a little outside that range, you're still welcome to reach out.

What if my partner and I don't see it the same way?

That's common, and it's part of the Map. Each of you score your own worksheet. Comparing the two is often the most useful conversation you'll have.

What if we're not together?

Everything here applies to co-parents who live apart. Being on the same page matters just as much, and it can be built from two homes.

Is this therapy?

No. This is parent coaching and education. I'm a licensed therapist, and that training shapes how I work, but working together is coaching, not therapy.

What happens after I send COHORT?

We'll email you a document with all the details, including the tuition, so you can make an informed decision. There's no call and no pressure. Read it, and if it's for you, just reply.
